The Capt’n Karl’s Trail Series takes place on the rugged, steep, and rocky paths of Pedernales Falls State Park, nestled along the scenic Pedernales River. Just a short distance from both Johnson City and Austin, this race offers minimal fence-line stretches and an abundance of technical, beautiful single track. Runners will navigate the challenging terrains of Twin Buttes, Lone Mountain, and Butler Mountain, enjoying fresh trails like Juniper and Madrone as they make their way to Polly's Corral Aid Station. The course stretches onward through the Wheatley and Equestrian Trails, leading back to Wolf Mountain. With stunning vistas, forested routes, and seasonal creek crossings, every participant is guaranteed to discover a favorite section of this unforgettable trail.
