The 100K race serves as a qualifier for the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run and features a challenging course primarily along the stunning Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. Spanning the border between Idaho and Montana, runners will experience breathtaking views of the Lemhi River Valley on the west and the Big Hole Valley on the east. The route is primarily high in the mountains, providing a diverse mix of climbs, descents, flat stretches, and technical sections. At mile 49, participants briefly leave the CDT to navigate a portion of tough terrain, then return to the true Continental Divide for an additional 5 miles before descending to the finish at Bohannon Creek, ensuring a memorable experience for all trail running enthusiasts.
