The Kansas Rails-to-Trails Extravaganza takes place on the scenic Prairie Spirit Trail, featuring a picturesque "rails-to-trails" path that weaves through charming small towns. The predominantly crushed limestone trail includes stretches of asphalt in the towns, making it an inviting route for runners. With aid stations placed about every 5 to 6 miles, the course is accessible for crew support. This flat and relatively easy course appeals to both first-time participants and seasoned runners looking to achieve personal bests, all set in a family-friendly atmosphere where crew members can relax and cheer on their runners. Pacers are permitted during the latter half of the event.
