Racers will navigate a flat and quick 3.1-mile loop winding through a serene wetland nature preserve. The 50k runners tackle 10 laps while those in the 25k complete 5 laps, all under an 8-hour limit. The course features sections of both dirt trail and paved sidewalk, so it's advisable to wear suitable shoes for varying surfaces. Participants enjoy ample space for passing, as the wide course accommodates 2-3 runners side by side. Along the way, they traverse three bridges, all while keeping dry as the tidal creek water remains below the trail. This scenic route provides excellent opportunities to observe local wildlife, including gators, turtles, and a variety of waterfowl.
