Ruck Around the Lake Weighted Race

Ruck Around the Lake Weighted Race

Ruck Around the Lake Weighted Race

The Ruck Around the Lake is a unique challenge where participants carry varying weights in a ruck or vest while completing laps around the picturesque Rockland Lake, NY. Each lap stretches 3 miles, and your total distance is measured in "Kz" (pound-miles) based on your chosen weight. Competitors can adjust their load each lap, strategizing between speed and weight to maximize their Kz before the 8-hour time limit expires. The race kicks off with weight checks at the Start/Finish line in Lot 4, ensuring fairness and accurate scoring. Participants enjoy a scenic course provided by the cooperation of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission. Whether you aim for heavier loads or quicker laps, victory lies in accumulating the highest Kz. A $10 parking fee applies at the state park, separate from race registration.
