The Red River Gorge Ultra stands as a premier ultra race in eastern Kentucky, showcasing the stunning landscapes of the ancient Red River Gorge. The 50K course features nearly all single-track trails, with a brief stretch along Tunnel Ridge Road, leading participants to the breathtaking Auxier Ridge—a highlight of the event. In contrast, the 25K course presents a greater challenge, characterized by its relentless elevation changes, lacking the flatter sections found in the 50K.
