The Blood Rock 50 Mile race takes place at Oak Mountain State Park, beginning and concluding at the scenic Cabins on Tranquility Lake. Runners will tackle a single 55K loop, returning to the Cabins Aid Station at mile 34.1 before embarking on a south loop to finish the remaining distance. Participants will experience challenging terrain, with about 20 miles along particularly rugged backcountry trails featuring some of the steepest climbs in the Southeast, making it a true test of endurance and skill for trail runners.
