The OTHTC High Desert Ultra features a loop course that navigates the undulating desert landscape, utilizing jeep roads, single-track paths, and sandy washes in the Spangler Hills region south of Ridgecrest. Participants are treated to stunning vistas of the Southern Sierras while enjoying optimal running conditions typically found in December. This course is well-suited for both novice and experienced ultra runners, offering strong support with nine aid stations located approximately every three miles. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, and various snacks to fuel runners on their journey.
