The race features a demanding and picturesque loop course through the Wasatch Mountains, just above Provo, Utah. Participants will navigate a mix of terrains—43% dirt trails, 38% dirt roads, and 19% paved sections. The initial 2.1 miles follows the Provo River Trail past the stunning Bridal Veil Falls, continuing onto the Bonneville Shoreline dirt trail. At the 22.7-mile mark, runners return to paved road at Hobble Creek for a further 3.7 miles before finishing back at Vivian Park. Racers face more than 13,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, with five significant climbs, including a challenging ascent from the start to an overlook of Squaw Peak. The final toughest climb ascends to nearly 9,300 feet above Windy Pass before the course descends almost 4,000 feet over the next 9+ miles toward the finish line. Runners are advised to prepare meticulously, as navigating this beautiful yet strenuous course requires strategy and endurance.
