The elevation gain of 6,390 meters makes this course incredibly demanding, making it essential for participants to be well-prepared. For those seeking a lesser challenge, an alternate 128-km route begins with a steep ascent to Učka mountain, merging with the main trail to Umag. Though it features a rugged, rocky section, the course eases towards the end, still presenting considerable demands, especially when tackled overnight. Additionally, a 67-km trail designed for aspiring ultra runners and a less challenging course from Motovun cater to beginners, ensuring a variety of experiences while immersing in Istria's captivating landscapes.
