This course features 99% single-track terrain, including exhilarating ridge line sections and a challenging ascent known as "Mt. Baker." Runners embark from the Dalton Convention Center, traverse the scenic Dry Creek Trail system—which boasts fast, runnable trails through a beautiful pine forest—before completing the loop back to the start. The well-maintained trails and loop structure enable runners to meet their support crew multiple times along the route, fostering a sense of community and encouragement. The finish line offers a warm, family-like atmosphere where every finisher can relax, share their journey, enjoy good food, and celebrate their accomplishments, regardless of the day's outcomes. Runners of various distances will also benefit from transportation provided to their starting lines, along with essential amenities, ensuring a joyous race day experience.
