The Gobi March in Mongolia is part of the prestigious 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Series, featuring a grueling 250 kilometers over six stages in seven days. Set in the scenic Karakorum region, participants traverse expansive green grasslands, ancient temples, sand dunes, rocky valleys, and lush forests, while occasionally staying in traditional yurts. Runners experience the majestic steppes as they journey towards the UNESCO-listed Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape and the historic city of Karakorum, once the heart of Genghis Khan's empire. The race also coincides with the vibrant Naadam Festival, adding a cultural highlight to this challenging endurance event.
