Hard Times Trail Run

The Hard Times Trail Run is renowned for being Greene County's most challenging footrace, featuring a rugged ten-mile out-and-back course that includes around 1600 feet of elevation gain. Participants will tackle a mix of runnable stretches, steep descents, and punishing climbs, making it a true test for both newcomers and seasoned trail runners. The course features creek crossings, briars, tall grass, and plenty of hills, all without the convenience of switchbacks. Runners have the choice of three distances: a single lap for 10 miles, two laps for 20 miles, or three laps for an intense 50K, resulting in significant elevation challenges of up to 4800 feet for the longest distance. With a cap at 60 participants, this race promises an intimate and demanding experience in the scenic setting of Little Sac Woods Conservation Area.
