The Algonquin 50k offers a scenic journey through the Chesapeake and Pocomoke State Forests on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The course features a modified out-and-back design, with the middle section differing for the return leg. Primarily composed of trails—95% of which are single track or wider—the route is entirely flat, promising a relatively speedy experience for participants. Runners will start and finish at the Milburn Landing area within the Pocomoke River State Park. Aid stations will be available every five to six miles, stocked with water, sports drinks, snacks, and warming beverages. Participants should be ready for varied weather conditions, including cold, rain, and muddy paths.
