The Elm Creek Backyard Ultra marks the inaugural ‘Backyard’ event in the Twin Cities, drawing inspiration from the renowned Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra. This exciting format is designed as a ‘Bronze Ticket’ event, allowing the last runner standing a chance to qualify for the Backyard Championship. Set in the picturesque Elm Creek Park Reserve, the course begins and ends at the Chipmunk Picnic area, winding along the lake trail and around Mud Lake. With an elevation gain and loss of 296 feet, the course presents a moderate challenge, alternating directions every few hours for an engaging experience.
