The Armed Forces Endurance Run is a tribute to active duty service members and veterans, with each edition honoring a different branch, this year featuring the Marines. Set at picturesque Bixler Lake Park in Kendallville, IN, the event takes place on a scenic 3-mile loop that combines asphalt and natural trails, encompassing beautiful wetlands, beaches, and woodlands. Participants can choose from a 6-hour, 12-hour, or a new 24-hour race, allowing runners to cover as much distance as they wish within their selected timeframe. The course provides indoor restroom access and features a relay option for teams in the 24-hour race. There’s also a ruck division, with recommended weights ranging from 20 to 35 lbs. Each runner receives a distinctive finisher's medal and a special award based on their mileage.
