Black Mountain 50K

Experience a unique running adventure on the challenging trails of Amat Kwanyil in San Diego, set on the historic grounds of an ancient volcano. The course winds through diverse landscapes, showcasing chaparral, coastal sage scrub, and wildlife like deer and bobcats. Runners will tackle rocky, steep, and technical trails, with significant elevation gains: 5,000 feet in the 50K and 2,500 feet in the 25K. Starting at Hilltop Park, participants climb the Little Black Loop trail, navigating through winding single-track paths before descending to Black Mountain Ranch Park. The 25K runners veer towards the Summit, while the 50K competitors trek across Lusardi Loop and Lilac trails. After enjoying sweeping panoramic views from the summit, all runners race downhill to the finish, where celebration and refreshments await.
