Introducing the Rose of the Shires Ultra, an enchanting 54-mile circular route through Northamptonshire, embraced by the local running community. This challenging race offers a remarkable experience along country trails, roads, and picturesque towpaths, leading you through charming villages, lush forests, serene canals, and scenic parks. Participants will navigate two country parks, traverse the Salcey Forest, and explore the Grand Union Canal while passing through 21 towns and villages. The course intersects with parts of the Nene Way, Midshires Way, and Northampton Round. With six checkpoints conveniently placed every 6 to 8 miles, this fully tracked and interactive race ensures a seamless adventure.
