This unique race, organized by the Helena Ultra Runners League, features a modified figure-8 loop on the South Hills trails of Helena, encompassing the Mount Ascension and Rodney Ridge areas. Each loop spans 11.57 miles with a challenging elevation gain of 2,645 feet, all on singletrack terrain. Participants have 12 hours to complete as many loops as possible, making for an exciting overnight adventure. Runners should be prepared for a true Montana experience, where encounters with wildlife such as deer, black bears, and mountain lions are possible. The rocky trails add to the challenge, ensuring a demanding but rewarding racing experience amidst the natural beauty of Helena.
