The Atacama Crossing is an extreme 7-day, 250-kilometer footrace set in the Atacama Desert, renowned as the driest desert globally. Competitors begin at a lofty elevation of 3,300 meters, traversing diverse terrains that include dramatic canyons and the vibrant Arcoiris Valley, alongside the Valley of Death and the Valley of the Moon. Racers navigate ancient Inca roads, sand dunes, and salt flats, all while enjoying breathtaking views of towering volcanoes, including the prominent Licancabur. This challenging course pushes participants to their limits as they conquer high-altitude landscapes throughout the stunning Chilean backdrop.
