The TARC Wapack and Back Trail Races feature both a challenging 50-mile and a 43-mile ultramarathon along the rugged Wapack Trail, plus a scenic 21.5-mile trek. The course takes runners from Mt. Watatic in Massachusetts to North Pack Mt in Greenfield, NH, presenting technical terrain with significant elevation gains—around 10,800 feet for the 50-miler and about 4,600 feet each way for the 43-mile route. Enthusiastic ultrarunners can expect stunning vistas, including the Boston skyline, the Berkshire and Green Mountains to the west, and the White Mountains to the north.
