The race course predominantly consists of single-track trails interspersed with open fields, dirt roads, and sections of paved road, offering diverse terrain throughout. Participants will tackle an impressive elevation gain of nearly 5,100 feet, promising a challenging experience. Runners begin with a 3.6-mile loop, followed by two identical loops of 13.7 miles each. Along the way, there are four stream crossings that may present difficulties based on water levels, adding an element of unpredictability and the likelihood of wet feet for competitors.
