Headwaters Trail Runs

The Headwaters Trail Runs feature three exhilarating trail races of 56k, 31k, and 10k, set against the stunning backdrop of the Klamath Mountains near Mount Shasta City, CA. The longer races comprise challenging loop courses that navigate through rugged mountains on single-track trails and dirt forest roads. Participants will tackle significant elevation gains, with approximately 8,000 feet for the 56k and around 4,000 feet for the 31k, including portions of the historic Sisson-Callahan National Recreation Trail. In contrast, the 10k is a flatter, quicker loop around the serene Lake Siskiyou, offering around 250 feet of elevation gain. All routes provide a scenic journey through pristine mountain landscapes, framed by the majestic Mt. Shasta and Mt. Eddy. Runners can expect fresh mountain air, well-stocked aid stations, and a dedicated volunteer staff to support their adventure, making for a fulfilling trail running experience.
