The Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Loopet Loppet offers an enriching outdoor experience that emphasizes the Dakota heritage while celebrating the beauty of the land along Bassett Creek. Participants can join either solo or as a team of four to tackle a series of 5-mile loops in a 6-hour or 12-hour format, allowing for both an engaging challenge and a connection to nature. In addition to the main events, a Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Little Loopet will be available for kids, alongside a fun 5k run that welcomes all abilities. The festivities will kick off at the Trailhead, featuring an Indigenous People’s festival with lots of activities, performances, vendors, and opportunities to learn about Dakota traditions and language.
