Lake Martin 100

The Lake Martin 100 is thoughtfully crafted to serve as a seamless transition for runners moving from a 50K to a 50-mile or from a 50-mile to their first 100-mile race. The course is challenging, featuring progressively steeper and longer hills as laps continue. While the terrain includes gentle carriage paths, mile 80 can be particularly daunting. However, dedicated training will prepare participants for this test, and support is ensured with encouragement and regular rest breaks. The route consists of approximately 75% single-track trails and 5% double-track paths, with minimal automobile traffic. Runners navigate a single 25-mile loop featuring two main aid stations, strategically placed just three miles apart by car, allowing for efficient crew access. Over the course of the 100 miles, participants will pass through these aid stations 18 times, enhancing the experience with full support throughout the race.
